Florida Oranges Are 'Magic' Ingredient in Wrinkle-Fighting Facial Masks

You might have trouble squeezing a Florida Orange into your makeup bag; but if you want to keep your skin, smooth, clear and unwrinkled, you’ll want to keep a supply of fresh Florida oranges handy. The vitamin C in Florida oranges has potent wrinkle-fighting properties that stimulate collagen production and protect the skin against damaging oxidation and UVA/UVB rays. To fight wrinkles, researchers recommend drinking a glass of Florida orange juice daily and applying a vitamin C-enriched facial mask once or twice a week. Adding Florida oranges to your weekly beauty routine will also help keep your skin clear and blemish-free thanks to vitamin C’s anti-inflammatory power.

To fight wrinkles, try these vitamin C-rich facial masks. (Florida grapefruit may be substituted for Florida oranges.)

Silky Orange Mask

1 Florida orange
2 tablespoons olive oil

Squeeze the juice from the orange and mix with the olive oil. Smooth over cleansed face, being careful not to get in eyes. (Flush with water if this happens.) Leave the solution on your face for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water. Pat face dry and apply moisturizer. Use mask twice a week.

Orange Honey Mask

1-2 tablespoons honey
1 cup dry oatmeal
Juice of 1/2 fresh-squeezed Florida orange

Beginning with 1 tablespoon of honey, mix all ingredients into a paste, adding more honey if necessary. Immediately spread over cleansed face.  Leave on 15 minutes then wash off with warm water. Pat face dry and moisturize. Use mask once or twice a week.
